Welcome to The Microgreen Kitchen! Right now the farm is going through some changes and is mostly just focusing on producing and delivering microgreens to the local community of Channahon and Minooka. Our original delivery day of Thursday evenings is now changing to Sunday evenings between 5-7pm. I hope this change is not too much of a conflict for my existing customers. I am going back to work full time but am committed to the same product and quality, perhaps now being able to scale up those factors with more resources. 

For customers within 10 miles of The Channahon Library, we offer free delivery on Sunday evenings as long as your order is $20.00 or 6oz and greater.  Any Channahon or Minooka home address should qualify! 

Microgreens are now all sold in 2oz packs within high quality clear clamshells which are manufactured from a percentage of recycled source material. Each variety is cut only once during harvest (above the soil line) and immediately placed into their sanitary container, which you receive. Nothing is mixed, processed, washed, or sprayed during the entire process. I spray the seeds with reverse osmosis water sourced from our local Jewel grocer to initiate germination. From there on out, they are fed and watered from the bottom, eliminating any contamination risks. Nothing touches the shoots after each tray is unstacked from germination and placed under lights. Microgreens may be fed a nutrient solution from the bottom water tray, ensuring they are as nutritious and healthy as possible. I do not and will never sell any micros that have been cut / harvested more than 24 hours previously!  Although each variety is different, you can plan to get at least two weeks out of each package as far as shelf life. To aid in keeping microgreens fresh and stable in the refrigerator, place a clean folded paper towel inside the container to absorb any excess moisture buildup. 

Everything is grown according to your order and will require a two week lead time in order to plant, grow, harvest and package your specific requests. This form will give me the required data to create a digital invoice you will not receive until the morning of the scheduled delivery. I may contact you if you are a new customer asap after receiving your order form to go over any details and target a delivery date.
